About the It's All Downhill From Here 5K
The course drops steadily from the start, with the back half running along the Norwalk River Valley Trail. That stretch is smooth and well-maintained, sheltered by the trees along the river. The net downhill makes it a course where you tend to finish feeling faster than you expected, though the opening section is mixed terrain before the trail begins.

How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
