About the Come Out & Run 5k

The course runs through Wilton's town center and loops back on itself, so you pass the water station twice. The route is on roads, with police support at intersections. The race is organized around National Coming Out Day and draws strollers, dogs on leashes, and people dressed for a costume contest alongside runners.

Packet pickup is available the weekend before at Wilton Library, and race-morning pickup opens well before the start on Wilton Green. The organizers flag the morning pickup line as reliably long, so picking up early is worth it. Post-race snacks and refreshments are set up on the Green, and an awards ceremony follows.
