The race is held at Whittier Narrows Recreation Center, a large regional park with open paths and plenty of space. The course is flat and runs through the park grounds, and the event welcomes runners, walkers, and riders together. Proceeds support Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy research, so the crowd tends to include families connected to that cause.
