About the La Vida Sucia Animal Series: Raccoon Run 5K • 10K • Kids Run
The Raccoon Run takes place at Whittier Narrows Nature Center, a natural open space that gives the course a genuinely outdoorsy feel. The trails here are earthy rather than groomed, which fits the spirit of the series name. Several distance options mean the morning draws a wide spread of people, and there is a kids run alongside the main events.
The race is put on by Los Mugrosos, a local off-road crew, which gives it a DIY character that most road 5Ks do not have. Beyond that, specifics about packet pickup and parking were not part of what the organizers shared, so arriving a little early is a safe habit.
