About the Houston Heights Fun Run: 5K, 10K and Kids 1K
The course runs along Heights Boulevard, which gets closed to traffic for the morning. It is about as flat and straight as a road course gets, with just a handful of turns across the whole route, so runners looking to push the pace tend to like it. The kids' route turns around closer to the start, making it easy for families to watch everyone from roughly the same spot.
Packet pickup happens at a historic fire station the weekend before, then again at a local running store the evening before the race. There is no general race-morning pickup, though a limited number of paid exception slots are available at checkout for those who need them. The after-party is at Marmion Park with local vendors.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a decent-sized field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Houston Heights Fun Run: 5K, 10K and Kids 1K has been held every year since at least 2015. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
