About the Henry's Crusade for Kim

Henry's Crusade against Epilepsy is a charity race in Biddeford built around a family's personal experience with epilepsy. The event started as a way to find something meaningful in a hard stretch, and that origin still shapes the morning. It draws people who are there to support a cause as much as to run or walk.

Proceeds benefit the Epilepsy Foundation of New England and Camp Sunshine. If you want to contribute beyond your entry, direct donation links are available for both organizations through the race's own page.

Common Questions About the Henry's Crusade for Kim

Will I finish last at the Henry's Crusade for Kim?

Almost certainly not. Half the 3.1 Miles field finished slower than 28:02, and the last recorded finisher came in around 43:43, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Henry's Crusade for Kim a good first 3.1 Miles?

It is a small race (35 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 3.1 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Henry's Crusade for Kim?

The 3.1 Miles winner ran 21:20 while the median finisher took 28:02. That spread points to a relatively quick field, so expect a competitive front end.
