About the Helping Hands Hero 5K Run/Walk

The course runs through the Cleveland Zoo, so after the race you can stay and walk the grounds for the rest of the day. There is a short kids dash alongside the main event, and a one-mile walk option. Patients from the children's hospital come out to run or roll with their caregivers, and that shapes the crowd in a way most races do not.

Race-morning registration and packet pickup happen before the start. The zoo itself is the venue, so the start area and post-race time are all within the zoo grounds.
