About the Heart & Sole: The Rowan Jo 5K

This race in Fultondale honors a child lost to a congenital heart defect, and the proceeds go toward scholarships for people affected by CHD and toward hospitals doing that work. The course is a short road race, open to runners and walkers, and the atmosphere reflects its purpose: people who showed up because this cause means something to them.
