About the Heart & Sole 5K
The course runs a couple of loops around the cross country path inside Buccleuch Park, so you cover the same ground twice and get a sense of where you stand on the second pass. Underfoot it is a cross country surface rather than pavement, which gives it a different feel from most road fives in the area.
Packet pickup opens before the start at the Large Pavilion inside the park. The race benefits the American Heart Association, and there is an award ceremony shortly after the last runners come through.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2026 results, this is a small, friendly field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.
