About the 2026 HCC Turkey Trot

The course runs on paved roads through a community college campus and out onto a neighboring drive, so the footing is consistent throughout. It finishes inside the athletic center, where you come off the pavement onto an indoor track surface. The route is a loop, and the roads are closed to traffic while runners are out there.

This is a Thanksgiving morning race, and the start area doubles as a collection point for a food and toy drive. Participants are encouraged to bring canned goods or new unwrapped toys; donations earn you a ticket for a prize drawing held after the gun goes off. Packet pickup runs in the hours before the start, with no race-morning scramble if you plan ahead.
