About the Hair of the Dog
Hair of the Dog is built around a brewery and leans into that fully. The main run is a traditional road race, dogs welcome on the course alongside their humans. Later in the day, the Beer Mile takes over, alternating laps and cans on a short loop around the parking area. A Kids Donut Dash and a Dachshund race round out the afternoon.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at Atypical Brewery and Barrelworks, with a morning-of window as well. The start area is the brewery itself, and the event stretches across most of the day, with food trucks and vendor booths set up outside. The whole thing benefits local animal rescue organizations, which is where the entry money goes.
