About the Dashing Through The Snow
The course starts at the State Fair Event Center and loops around the fairgrounds and Roosevelt Park. It is a flat route through familiar Minot ground, and the holiday theme is taken seriously: runners show up in costume, carols are not unheard of, and the whole thing is tied to the Festival of Trees weekend happening around it.
The shorter distance runs more like a scavenger hunt than a road race, with challenge stations along the route where participants stop for trivia and festive tasks before moving on. If you are bringing kids or a group that wants something to do besides run, that format gives the morning a different shape than a straight out-and-back.

The Dashing Through The Snow has been held every year since at least 2020. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
