About the Groundhog Day 5K
The course runs out of the Lake County Fairgrounds, a wide open venue that keeps things straightforward underfoot. Expect a flat route through fairground grounds and the surrounding area, the kind of terrain that works for anyone who wants to push a pace or just get through a winter morning on foot.
Packet pickup runs the day before at a local running store, with race-morning pickup available at the fairgrounds before the start. Parking at a fairgrounds is generally easy, and the open layout means plenty of room to warm up before heading to the start line.
