About the 2026 GRITTY 5K
This one is themed around Gritty, the Flyers mascot, and the whole production leans into that fully. The start and finish are in the arena parking lot, the course has a string of on-course activations along the way, and there is a hot dog waiting at the finish line. It runs through Philadelphia with a party atmosphere rather than a quiet neighborhood feel.
Packet pickup is the evening before at the arena's East Food Hall, in the same lot where the race begins. On race morning, the lot fills out with a fan-fest setup: a costume accessory station, a photo booth, sponsor tables, and merchandise. Gates open well before the gun, so there is time to wander before lining up in the corrals.
