About the Greater Goldsboro Road Run - Run for a Child
The courses run through downtown Goldsboro, starting near The Hub at the corner of Center and Chestnut Streets. Spring-blooming trees and flowering shrubs line the streets along the route, which runs on a USATF-certified course. Several distance options are available, from a short fun run up to a longer road race. The race is a fundraiser supporting local children's organizations.
Packet pickup is available the evening before at the downtown Goldsboro Fire Department, through the garage entrance facing The Hub. Race-morning pickup starts early at The Hub itself. The start area is right in the heart of downtown, so street parking in the surrounding blocks is the most straightforward option.
