The course runs through the Florida Horse Park, which gives it a different feel from a road race through town. Expect open grounds and natural surroundings rather than pavement and storefronts. The terrain is accessible, and the Thanksgiving morning timing means the air is usually cool enough to make the run comfortable.
Packet pickup the day before is at a local running store in Ocala, with race-morning pickup available for those who cannot make it. The start area is at the horse park, so plan for a short drive from most parts of town and leave a little extra time to find your way in.
