The course runs through a local park and its surrounding greenbelts, so the terrain is open and relatively gentle. A DJ plays holiday music at the start and finish area, and a costume contest runs alongside the race, with prizes for the most creative outfits. At the finish, there are cookies and milk.
Water is available out on the course. The finish area has a rally tent where music continues and awards are announced for all distances.
