About the Gingerbread Lane 5K & 10K Dallas

The course runs through Oak Point Park, a greenbelt park in Plano with paved paths winding through open green space. The terrain is gentle throughout, and the route stays inside the park, which keeps things simple to follow. A DJ keeps the start area lively, and the costume contest gives the whole morning a looser, more playful atmosphere than a standard road race.

Holiday cookies and milk are out at the finish. Aid stations are spread along the course. Packet pickup and race-morning logistics were not something the organizer detailed publicly, so arriving with a little extra time before the start is a reasonable habit.

Common Questions About the Gingerbread Lane 5K & 10K Dallas

Will I finish last at the Gingerbread Lane 5K & 10K Dallas?

Almost certainly not. Half the 3.11 Miles field finished slower than 36:38, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:06:57, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Gingerbread Lane 5K & 10K Dallas a good first 3.11 Miles?

A field of 238 is big enough that you will have company at your pace without feeling lost in a crowd. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 3.11 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Gingerbread Lane 5K & 10K Dallas?

The 3.11 Miles winner ran 19:11 while the median finisher took 36:38. That spread points to a broad, mostly recreational field rather than a race dominated by club runners.
