About the Plano Pacers Boo Scoot 5K/10K and Free Kids 1K

The course runs through Windhaven Meadows Park, a grassy open space. The route is flat enough that families and newer runners show up alongside regulars, and the kids' run after the main race gives the morning a second wind. This is a Plano Pacers club event, so the crowd skews toward people who run together regularly.

The start is early, and both regular members and guests can sort out bibs and chips at a membership table before the gun. The kids' run is free and requires no advance registration, so younger siblings can join without any paperwork.
