The course starts on 5th Avenue and winds through downtown Naples, so you get the streets largely to yourself on Thanksgiving morning before the city wakes up. It is flat enough that walkers, strollers, and dogs are genuinely welcome, and there is a turnaround option for anyone not up for the full distance.

Packet pickup runs at a local running store the couple of days before the race, which is the smoother option. Race-morning pickup is available but tight, so earlier is better. Parking is easy, with several multi-story garages close to the start. The race collects canned goods for a local shelter at both pickup and on race day.
