About the Garfield's Ice Cream Run
The course runs through the James A. Garfield National Historic Site, a preserved presidential estate with open grounds and historic surroundings. The route is a straightforward out-and-back or loop on the site's paths, without significant climbing. The ice cream theme carries through the whole morning, and there is ice cream waiting at the finish.
Packet pickup runs the day before at a local running store in Mentor, with race-morning pickup available at the historic site itself. The start area is on the grounds, so you are already somewhere worth looking at before the gun goes off.
