About the Frosty 5k of Mineral Wells
The course starts in downtown Mineral Wells at Zappe Park and winds through surrounding neighborhoods past historic homes. The terrain rolls a bit, so expect some gentle ups and downs rather than a flat out-and-back. It is a road race, and the holiday dress code is taken seriously: Christmas attire is encouraged, and plenty of people show up in costume.
Packet pickup happens race morning at a local outfitter on Hubbard Street, so there is no need to come the day before. The park has parking on the premises. Hot cocoa is at the finish, along with food and drinks, and the post-race gathering runs well into the morning.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a small, friendly field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Frosty 5k of Mineral Wells has been held every year since at least 2024. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
