About the FREC 5k Race Series

The series runs out of Veterans Park Amphitheatre in downtown Albany, with each race using its own course rather than repeating the same route. The start and finish line stays anchored at the amphitheatre, so there is a fixed point of familiarity even as the courses change. A shorter fun run option runs alongside each event, open to all ages.

Packets can be picked up on race morning before the start, so there is no separate pre-race trip required. Grand prizes go to overall series performers, judged on cumulative results across all three races, with awards presented after the final event.
