About the Barney's Run for Warriors
The course runs through Albany neighborhoods on paved roads, nearly flat the whole way. Several distance options are available, and dogs are welcome on the shorter routes, so you will see leashed runners alongside the usual field. The race benefits an organization that pairs rescued shelter dogs with veterans as trained service animals, and that mission is pretty present in the atmosphere.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at a location announced closer to race day, with race-morning pickup available behind Phoebe Northwest on the corner of Watergate Lane and Lake Park Drive. Parking and registration happen at that same spot, so the start area is easy to find.
