About the Fortnight Before Christmas
The course runs on the Cary Greenways, so the surface is paved trail rather than road. Conditions shift depending on what the weather has been doing in the days before, and the organizers flag this honestly. There are a few distance options, from a short fun route up to the longer of the two timed courses, so runners can pick what fits the morning.
The race is hosted out of the Northwest Cary YMCA, which serves as the gathering point. The event collects winter hats and gloves on race day for children connected to the Y's community programs, so consider bringing a donation when you head out.
