About the Amberly Sugar Rush
The course winds through the roads, trails, and greenways of the Amberly neighborhood. Footing varies depending on recent weather, so expect a mix of pavement and softer surfaces. The route has rolling residential character throughout, with course markings on the ground to keep you on track. It benefits a local nonprofit, and costumes are part of the scene since the race falls on Halloween.
Packet pickup and the start are based at the Amberly Club House. The race draws a wide range of paces and styles, from runners chasing course records to families in costume, so the start area tends to have an easy, unhurried energy before the gun goes off.
