About the Fort Gordon Tutus for Cancer Awareness 5K
The course starts on base near a softball complex at Barton Field and follows streets through Fort Gordon. It is untimed, so there is no clock pressure at the finish. The morning has music going, and the tutu theme means the crowd tends to be colorful. All paces and ages show up, and the atmosphere reflects that.
Check-in is at the ball fields on Barton Field, and parking spreads across several spots nearby, including along the field itself and at a handful of surrounding buildings. Non-DoD visitors need to arrange a visitor pass in advance through the Army's base access portal before they can get on post.
