About the FLANNEL 5K RUN
The course follows the Riverwalk along the river through Beutter Park, so the surroundings are pleasant even in winter. The route is flat and paved, and the flannel dress code gives the start line a warmer look than most cold-weather mornings manage.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at a local running store, with race-morning pickup available at a coffee shop near the start. The charitable angle is real: the organizers collect coats, hats, and gloves for a local homeless shelter, and drop-off runs through race morning.
