About the 2026 December FitKidz Running Club
This is a free kids running club for children ages five through twelve, held at Himmel Park and Willie Blake Jr Park across a handful of winter mornings. Each session follows the same shape: a warm-up, a running activity, a game, and a short lesson on nutrition or another health topic. The series builds distance gradually week by week, finishing with a mile fun run.
Parents and guardians are required to stay on site for every session. The club splits its sessions between two parks, so check which location applies before you head out. There is no cost to participate.
