The course winds through the Fineview neighborhood, climbing public staircases, steep streets, and hillside trails. One staircase on Rising Main Avenue is Pittsburgh's steepest, tall enough to feel like climbing a building. The views from up there are genuine, the kind you earn rather than stumble onto. The terrain is uneven and vertical, so expect your legs to know about it afterward.
