About the Festivus for the Rest of Us 5K Run/Walk & Kids Festivus Dash
This is an evening race at Expo New Mexico, run under holiday lights with music along the course. Costumes are encouraged, glow gear is common, and the atmosphere leans hard into the holiday theme, with a Festivus pole photo op and a formal Airing of the Grievances at the finish area. There is also a short kids dash on the same evening.
The event is organized by Bosque Running Company and raises money for a local after-school running and mentoring program. Post-race refreshments are on hand, and the whole setup is built around sticking around after you finish rather than heading straight to your car.
