About the FCA's Run the Cedars 5k/15k
Both routes run through Cedars of Lebanon State Park, with the longer course branching out onto the surrounding rural roads. The terrain is the kind you find in a wooded state park, open enough to move through comfortably, with water stops along the way. An acoustic bluegrass and country band plays out on the course near one of those stops.
Packet pickup is available the evening before at a running store in Mt. Juliet, or on race morning at the park before the start. The start and finish are in the parking area where WPA Road meets Cedars Road, and that stretch of road is closed to traffic on race day. Afterward, there is food and live music at the finish area, along with local vendors.
