About the 34th Annual Fast Flash 5k and Back 2 School Bash
The course runs around Franklin Central High School on flat pavement, and it is genuinely fast. There is also a shorter fun run aimed at younger kids, which starts a little after the main race. The surrounding neighborhood is quiet and open, so there is not much shade, but there is also nothing to slow you down.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at the high school's performance entrance, with race-morning pickup available as well. After the race, the Back to School Bash takes over the area with a splash tower, airbrush tattoos, game zones, cornhole, and visits from mounted patrol officers and their horses. School mascots turn up for photos too.
