About the Empire State Half Marathon & 5k
The course loops Rockland Lake in Congers, a route flat enough that the elevation barely registers. Pavement throughout, and the lake is right there the whole way, which makes the laps feel less repetitive than a loop course often does. Aid stations are spaced across the course with water and Gatorade at each.
Bibs can be picked up the evening before the race at a running store in Paramus, at that same location the following morning, or at the park on race morning. Age group winners get ice cream from a truck at the finish, and a beer garden opens not long after the first finishers come in.
