About the El Paso Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K Run/Walk
The marathon follows a point-to-point route that finishes downtown, in the historic center of El Paso, with a net decline toward the finish that tends to help with qualifying times. The course is city-permitted and police-monitored throughout, so traffic is managed along the way. The race draws runners from across the country and from several other countries, and it serves as a Boston Marathon qualifier.
Packet pickup happens the day before at the El Paso Convention Center, during a health and fitness expo held there. There is no race-morning pickup, so the expo is the only option. A friend can collect your packet, but they will need a printed copy of your confirmation email to do so.
