About the Downtown Mile for CASA
The course runs along Charles Street through downtown Fredericksburg, a straight shot on city pavement that rewards anyone who likes to run fast and measure themselves honestly against a flat, open road. The evening start means the storefronts and streetscape are lit up, and the downtown setting gives the whole thing a different feel from a park loop or a trail race.
Packet pickup the evening before is at a local outdoor retailer, with race-morning pickup available for those who cannot make it. The start area is right in the heart of downtown, so parking in that neighborhood on a weekend evening is worth thinking about ahead of time.

The Downtown Mile for CASA has been held every year since at least 2020. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
