About the Downtown Cartersville 5K
The course starts and finishes in the heart of downtown Cartersville, with the start and finish at separate points, so the route is a point-to-point loop through downtown streets and surrounding neighborhoods. The finish is inside Friendship Plaza, near the train depot. It is a certified course and qualifies for the Peachtree Road Race. A shorter fun run loops the courthouse block and finishes at the same line.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at the Big Peach Running Co. store on East Church Street. Parking is available in the large lot near the courthouse, with additional spots at a church lot close by. The area around Friendship Plaza is closed to parking on race morning. Age group awards, sponsor tents, and live music follow the race.
