About the 9/11 Run to Remember 5K
The course runs through downtown Cartersville streets, out to a fire station and back. The highlight is passing through the station itself, where firefighters and first responders line the way cheering. The route is an out-and-back, mostly flat, starting and finishing at Friendship Plaza near the downtown gazebo. The race has a pre-race ceremony with a presentation of colors by the fire department honor guard.
Packet pickup is the evening before at Big Peach Running Co. in Cartersville. The start, finish, and post-race awards all take place at Friendship Plaza. Parking on race morning is at the Bartow County Courthouse, a short walk from the start.
