About the Down Syndrome Festival & 5k
The course starts on Sheridan Avenue at the Myriad Botanical Gardens, a public green space in the heart of Oklahoma City. The route is open to runners and walkers, and the event draws families and teams who come together around a shared cause rather than a finish time. The atmosphere leans toward the celebratory side of a race morning.
Parking is free in the lots just south of the gardens, off Reno Avenue, so arriving a little early helps. After the run and awareness walk, the festival picks up on the Great Lawn with food trucks, music, carnival games, inflatables, and face painters. Resource vendors are also on hand for families looking for information.

The Down Syndrome Festival & 5k has been held every year since at least 2025. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Oct 25, 2026.
