About the Doggie Dash & Dawdle 2027
The race runs through Balloon Fiesta Park, a wide open stretch of grounds best known for the city's famous balloon events. The shorter option is a dawdle, which tells you something about the pace expectations. Dogs are very much the point here: there is a carnival, a vendor marketplace, a local brew tent, and a tent where you can meet adoptable dogs from Animal Humane.
Packet pickup runs the day before at Animal Humane's main campus, where the shelter's dogs and cats are also there to visit. Race-morning pickup opens when the gates do at Sid Cutter Pilots' Pavilion. Parking enters off Alameda onto Balloon Museum Drive, with overflow at the Golf and Event Center on the southwest side of the park.
