About the Ditto Landing 10k

The course follows the greenways around Ditto Landing along the Tennessee River, and the terrain is flat throughout. There is one aid station on the route, and you pass it twice as you go out and come back. The race benefits the Huntsville Track Club's scholarship fund, and post-race refreshments are set up at the finish.

Packet pickup runs over the two days before the race at RunningLane, a local running shop, with a brief window on race morning as a backup. The organizers ask that you pick up early if you can.

Common Questions About the Ditto Landing 10k

Will I finish last at the Ditto Landing 10k?

Almost certainly not. Half the 10K field finished slower than 59:45, and the last recorded finisher came in around 2:08:11, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Ditto Landing 10k a good first 10K?

A field of 305 is big enough that you will have company at your pace without feeling lost in a crowd. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 10K, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Ditto Landing 10k?

The 10K winner ran 34:54 while the median finisher took 59:45. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
