About the Dirty Harry 5K & 12K!
Both distances here are trail races run through Harbison State Forest, so expect dirt underfoot, trees overhead, and terrain that is genuinely different from a road race. The shorter course and the longer one share the same woods, so the feel is similar either way: rooted paths, natural surroundings, and some real effort required.
Packet pickup runs the afternoon before at Fleet Feet Irmo, a local running store on St Andrews Road, which keeps race morning calmer. The start area is at Harbison State Forest, so plan for a park setting rather than a downtown staging area.
