About the 2026 Dia De Los Muertos Lubbock 5K & Fun Run
This race is built around Día de los Muertos, and the theme is taken seriously. Runners are encouraged to dress as calaveras or wear marigolds, and a community altar is set up where people can leave photos of loved ones who have passed. The route has a separate shorter option for first-timers or kids alongside the main course.
Packet pickup happens the day before the race, with the exact location announced closer to the event once it is confirmed.

The 2026 Dia De Los Muertos Lubbock 5K & Fun Run has been held every year since at least 2017. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
