About the Carol of Lights Run
The course runs through the Texas Tech campus on an evening when the buildings are lit up with colored lights. Carolers are stationed along the route, so there is something to hear as well as see. It is a nighttime race, which gives it a different feel from a typical morning road event.
Packet pickup is mandatory and happens before race day, with parking details included in the athlete guide. After finishing, there are treats set out near the finish area. Runners are also asked to bring a donation item for a local children's charity.
