About the Delaware Down Syndrome 5K Run/Walk
This is a 5K tied to a charity awareness event hosted by the Down Syndrome Association of Delaware, held at Glasgow Park in Newark. The course is a road run, with a shorter awareness loop also available on the grounds. The surrounding event draws families, so the atmosphere around the start and finish reflects that crowd.
Bib pickup happens the morning of the race at Glasgow Park, wrapping up just before the gun. After you finish, the Family Fun Day is already going on around you, with food trucks, live performances, and activities like face-painting and balloon art on the grounds through the early afternoon.
