About the Dearborn Decades 5k
The course starts at Ford Field Park and heads out along the Rouge River Gateway Trail, a paved path that winds onto a university campus nearby. It is mostly flat with a couple of small rises along the way. The race is USATF-certified, so it works well if you are chasing a time goal. Decade-themed costumes are optional, and plenty of people show up in them.
Packet pickup and race-day registration both happen at the park before the start. Parking is at the baseball fields near the start and finish, accessible from Michigan Avenue or Cherry Hill but not from Morley. The race finishes as Dearborn Homecoming is getting underway nearby.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a decent-sized field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Dearborn Decades 5k has been held every year since at least 2016. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
