About the Day of the Dead Half Marathon - Houston
The course runs through Houston parks, moving past lakes and heavy tree cover. The Day of the Dead theme runs all the way through race morning: runners show up in full Día de los Muertos costume, and judges pick a best-costume winner right before the start. The finish brings a rally tent with live music, a DJ announcing finishers by name, and Mexican food and drinks.
The start and finish are at Kingdom Builders Center. Post-race awards are announced live at the tent, so there is reason to hang around after you finish.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a small, friendly field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.
