About the DASHER DANCER PRANCER 5K
The race runs through Carencro alongside the town's Country Christmas event, so the atmosphere around the start and finish reflects that. Costumes are welcome, and enough people show up in them that it reads as part of the morning rather than a novelty. The course begins at the Carencro Community Center, and the whole event benefits St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Parking is available at the Community Center or at the library next door. After the finish, the Community Center's Christmas activities are open, so there is reason to stay a while. Race-morning registration opens early, before the warm-up begins.

The DASHER DANCER PRANCER 5K has been held every year since at least 2021. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
