About the 3rd Annual Dash for Diabetes Awareness 5 K & 1Mile Fun Run

The course runs through and around Old Mesilla Plaza, a historic square in Las Cruces. The route is short and accessible, and the surrounding plaza architecture gives it a sense of place that a park path would not. A wellness fair runs alongside the race, with vendor booths offering health screenings and resources, so the area stays active well after the last runners finish.

Race-morning registration closes just before the start, and check-in is handled through a mobile app rather than a paper table. The race is held rain or shine. Proceeds support a local nonprofit diabetes education center, and the event falls on World Diabetes Awareness Day, so blue is the color to wear.
