About the Daniel Feather Memorial 5K

The race honors one of the co-founders of the Chautauqua Striders, the local running club that puts it on. Proceeds support youth athletic programs and a scholarship for graduating high school seniors, so the crowd tends to include young runners the club has coached alongside their families. Local police officers run their own division, which gives the start line an unusual mix.
